Over in the tweaks, cables, etc, i've started a thread that perhaps would better have been over here in headphones. Alas.

In any case, if you live in the UK you know it's not a simple proposition to find a replacement headphone cable supplier/distributor.

If you have experience of buying cables direct from the company in the US and bringing them into the UK, or have a dealer that doesn't end up costing you about double the price of the source, please headfi over to

http://www4.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=168577

and share your experiences with importing, shippers, duty, vat, etc

Many thanks

If you are thinking of ordering direct the useful link makes interesting reading:
http://customs.hmrc.gov.uk/channelsP...HMCE_CL_001454.

If you can get someone to send an item as a 'gift' you may get away without paying anything! Also, sometimes the Post Office doesn't enforce the charges if u r lucky!

The £/$ exchange rate spot rate isn't quite so favourable nowadays unfortunately. The spot (money market) rate is currently about £1 = $1.72 and the tourist rate is only about £1 = $1.66.
