Hello,

After Googling "QC25 boom mic", I came across this site, which has some interesting concepts that are not yet available for the QC25.

http://uflymike.com/products/aviation/microphones/microphones.html

I am looking for a noise and wind canceling boom mic for the QC25, so that I can have clear conversations while walking around in a windy environment.

I may order this to give it a try, but the reviews are not the greatest:

Has anyone tried the QC15 version of the UFlyMike or something similar for the above use case, that you would recommend?

Best Regards,

Glass

Hello @Mr Glass! Welcome to Head-Fi!

While I've never tried the UFlyMike, I have used the Master & Dynamic Boom Mic, as well as the V-MODA BoomPro Mic, and both work well, in general. I mainly use them in the office and at home. I took a moment with the M&D mic, and it seemed to pick up wind and ambient noise pretty well, so I don't think I'd use it outside.I'll try to give my V-MODA BoomPro a test over the weekend and see how that does.

Thank you for your reply and apologies for the delay of mine.

I have traded my QC25s in for the QC35. Unfortunately, I don't think that I will be able to use any kind of external mic with them.

My QC35s arrived yesterday and I have 30 days to decide if I want to stick with them and return my QC25s. I am leaning towards doing so as most of the time I would prefer wireless vs. being able to use an external boom mic.
