So I'm interested in buying a pair and I'd like to know what I can expect to pay and not left wondering if I paid over the going rate.

The current going rate on Amazon is $184 and I couldn't find these at the usual places like headphone.com and B&H. Is $184 usually how much these run for or are they in the middle of perhaps an after-holiday price peak?

I'd also like to know what other trust-worthy stores I can look at or call up.

Just a few things to keep in mind:
  1. brand new only - so no used or refurbs
  2. Overall price to include tax and shipping
  3. No EBAY
  4. I live in the U.S.

Thanks in advance.

People have been trying to flip them since december; which is why they go that cheap. Dont be fooled by the amazon featured sellers, they are selling the exact same item as the other sellers which have them for $150. I'd reccomend you purchase the $150 pair, but only if they agree to give you their original purchase invoice (for warranty use).
I would wager these will fetch around $250 later in the summer, so this will be about as low as they get (unless UE decides to have another sale). Also, If you dont mind, I would also reccomend scouring the For Sale section of this forum. I have seen them sell for $100 on occasion.

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, I saw a few on Amazon for around $150, but I feel a bit nervous about buying from sellers with only 2 or 3 ratings. The going rate still seems to be around $184 from other, more established, sellers.

Hmm..decisions, decisions...

I sell on amazon, and if I have learned anything, its that people never leave feedback. That, and their rating system is wicked stingy. I have sold over 50 items in the last 5 months, and have a 66% feedback rating from 3 people. 2 positive, and 1 neutral. The guy who gave me a neutral rating was very satisfied with my communication and service, which he writes in my feedback; but because he gave me 3 stars, it counts it as neutral, which the system weighs as a 0% rating.

Anyway, it doesnt matter if you go with an established seller or someone who has just launched; because Amazon has the buyers equally protected for both transactions.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I think I'll go with the $150 seller then. Is there anything I should be aware of or look out for regarding fake Triple.fi 10?

I have not heard of anyone pulling off knockoff TF10's. I'm guessing it must not be a profitable venture for them. The only thing I would press on is asking the sellers for their original purchase invoice. If they are reluctant to do so, tell them you were aware of the $95 amazon sale, and you simply wish to keep the invoice for warranty purposes.
I doubt it will be a dificult pre-sale negotiation, since it will make them stand out from all the other hundred sellers.

That's only if they're individuals, right? I found what appears to be an actual "store" that's selling the TF10 for around $155, so I guess it should be OK.

Unless they are an authorized dealer, they will not be covered under warranty. In other words, just because they sell on Amazon, does not mean it carries Amazon's warranty. If I wanted to, I could create a storefront and logo; but that doesnt change the fact that Logitech never gave me permission to represent their product. For people selling high volume, the premium Amazon account pays for itself, which is why you will see scattered merchants with their personalized logos and storefronts.
Anyway, I'm just out in your best interest bro; it never hurts to ask them

That makes sense, thanks. I sent them an email. Hopefully they reply soon.

Also, in case any prospective buyer is interested, I got them off Amazon for $158 (shipped) on 01/26/11.
