There is alot of hate out there for the eb's..but I am thrilled with them! I really believe that my ears are not as in tune as many here, because after proper burn in..these are as great all the way around as many higher end iem's I've tryed! The bass is only huge where it's needed imho and the mids and highs are great too.. I just sold my e500 because after a year of wondering where the bass was..I just decided to take a loss and try something else. The eb's have made me love my move amp and have left me walking around with a huge smile on my face for the last two weeks!
My biggest reason for this post is to emphasize the fact that some of us will never be able to tell the subtle differences between high end and "super high end". We just aren't as able to critically hear everything.

Just my take on things...

Just for the record...I wasn't bashing the e500 with this post, they have alot of fantastic qualities including the fit. They sit much further in yer ears and are less noticable by a long shot than the eb's. If they had alot more bass I would have loved them forever!! I have no problem getting a good seal with the eb's...they just are more obvious in looks and feel. I can't say how they would feel after hrs of wearing them as I am one who listens maybe an hr a day on average.. longer on yard work days..

I don't listen to hip hop or anything close. I am a 40 something guy who listens to everything from classic rock to new age to modern rock. I think the eb's have a sweet sound on any of these for me...much funner in my opinion than any other iem I've tryed.

I have been saying the same. I love the EB but had the same experience as you with the E500(bass too little). Muisc has to be enjoyed and I am reassured that others share my view. I am not trying to critique other's views. I think the EB are very under rated yet they seem to give more pleaure for me than some of the high end IEM...

my atrios are turning my brain to jello from the base, but atleast i can hear the guitars no, unlike my X3´s

i guess that the battle for deep bass is fought between the EB and the M5,

EB's are excellent, one of the few IEMs that matches the bass impact and power/depth of more expensive fullsize basshead cans. they only get better with burn-in. try experimenting with eq settings too, you can make them sound perfect with some slight eq'ing.

I have read alot of posts like that too.. I think either my e500's were faulty..or I am a bass head much worse than I thought. As I stated in my post earlier..I listen to alot of modern and classic rock. With the e500's listening to classic Rush..I would always think "where is the bass". With the eb..I Hear all the other great instruments clearly and the bass of Neil's drums are so rich! I can't even imagine how these would sound with major bass heavy music like hip hop. I truly always wondered if my e500's were defective with the lack of bass...but I just talked myself out of that possibility thinking they have the bass quality instead of quantity. I tryed to sell my Move amp when when I first got it while using the e500 cuz I was so dissapointed..but when I plugged in the eb's..WOW! The move brings out the highs and the mids and the cans have the perfect bass. Again... just my opinion... I claim no audiophile knowledge.

I completely agree with the OP. They have become by far my most listened to can. I also had similar outrage at many of the negative posts here, which is what took me so long to get them. Now I'm a UE 5 EB crusader!
