just got these headphones and they are hella comfortable, i could not wear any any in ear headphones (kinda like cheap one that come with IPOD), but there fit pretty well. Anyhow, headphones sounds very nice for such small things

However, I listed to a lot of hard rock/metal and when I send my IPOD into rock setting (even if I set BASS to a higher setting on my computer), I notice that there is quite a bit of distortion on the bass notes. Either bass comes out flat or distorted at my comfortable listening level... did anyone have smilar problems? All slow music sounds pretty awesome though . I tried a few headphone rubber things but it did not fix the issue.

Its your iPOD EQ. The superfi Pro's are ok. Don't worry about them. iPOD EQ sucks @SS.

Yah, it is the iPod EQ. There are 2 ways to fix it.

1) mp3gain all your mp3, and usually it can fix this distortion.
Note: mp3gain is a software. Just do a search on google.

2) Get a ampifier that does bass boost, such as Xin SuperMini/Macro.

so the bass on EQ off is too little? then you should consider getting the EB instead, if isolation isn't too important.
I couldn't believe how bad the EQ on ipod was the first time i heard it... I was shocked that people would be using these EQ settings at all.. bass boost, rock, everything except treble booster and bass reducer would distort and cause so many more problems.

xin micro amps are popular with ipod users because ipod sound out of Headphone jack reduces the low end so much.
The only benefit i have with ipod is interface, size, and looks.
