Hello everyone! I just got myself a pair of Shure SE530s recently and they are easily the best IEM I have ever heard - a very nice upgrade indeed over my UE Super.fi 5Pro!

However, before I also thought of getting myself a pair of UE Triple.fi Pros instead of the Shure E500s, but got the Shures because they were readily available at a local store. Anyways... so I have searched the internet on the e500 vs. Triple..fi and people seem to agree that they are both great and that their strength and weaknesses cancel each other out. Today, though, I also read a review here on headfi about UE's flagship custom UE-10 Pros, and the reviewer (don't remember the user name) basically wrote that the UE-10 Pros edge out the e500s in almost every department, except the mids, and that the UEs are noticeably clearer and have a much wider vertical soundstage. Now, my question is - how do Ultimate Ears' new Triple.fis compare to the UE-10 Pros. Personally, I am guessing that the UE-10 Pros slightly edge out the Triple.fis (because of the fit maybe?) and so the Shure e500 can compete with them more so that with the 10 Pros. What do you people think?

From the article:

Finally, there is price. $100 is still a lot of money (even if it doesn't go as far as it used to), and you save at least that much with the Triple.fis

Ironic in that the situation is now reversed, you can find the E500/E530 for considerably less than the Triple-Fi...
