I was flipping through the new Men's Health this afternoon and came across an article for best noise reduction IEM's. Turns out Tyll and Headroom did the testing for article. It's on page 106 of the September issue if anyone wants to check it out.

By the way, the Etymotic ER-4S came out on top..

Before opening this thread, i thought it was related to his recent hemorhoid surgury since it is a health magazine but that is pretty cool that the magazing is also covering ear phone tech stuff. Kudos to Men's Health magazine.

The best way would be to set the photo limit to 1MB, and compress it using 256 colour gif. That way, you'll probably be able to get a huge picture.

Too bad that's not allowed though. (This ER4s thing is really tempting me).

You're expected to just go out and buy the magazine. Does anyone here do that anymore?

Ironically, most with the Etymotic ER4 will and up cranking the volume up higher to hear more bass. A 50 cent solution would be to buy some foam ear plugs, which will block out more sound than all IEM's.

But I guess if you really want to base an earphone purchase on how they sound with no music playing though them.....

I don't remember seeing Men's Health here, where I am (although I may be wrong). Even if there was, it'll probably be different from the US version, but well.

...I'll go for a UE custom with customized artwork, like what the monkey has.
