Hi everyone.

Not sure if this is the right place for this question but here goes.

I am currently using a Little Dot MKIII to drive my Sennheiser HD600's and as a pre-amp with an Aura (Bowers & Wilkins) power amp for listening through speakers.

I have the opportunity to buy a matching Aura pre-amp which would be good for listening through speakers and adding more sources to my set-up, however, I am not too sure that the new pre-amp will drive the HD600's. I have copied the spec of the pre-amp below, can anyone comment on whether it will do a good job of driving the senn's?

If not, is it ok to string together more than 1 pre-amp, such as:

Source -> LD MKIII -> Pre-amp -> Power amp -> speakers?

Well did a little experiment . Analog out of Teac UD-301 to input of Valhalla 2 pre out of V2 to input of Liquid Carbon and it was not distorted at all. I thought it might be but it wasn't. It gave the Carbon a little tubey sound but it wasn't too bad. I prefer straight shot but it should work.

If your full size preamplifier has a Tape Output then hookup the Little Dot MkII there, that way you provide a cleaner signal with both analogue paths to the speaker and headphone going through only one preamp stage. The Tape Out is just a loop output from whatever input source is active.
