tweeters in my stereo blown

hi . i have a sony cmt-cp11 stereo. nothing fancy, but it does the job for me. i blew the tweeters in the speakers., and i cant find anywhere where i can buy replacements. can anyone tell me where i could find the spare parts to fix this, or if its worth doing?? thanks all

I think the first question would be why did they blow? Age or some sort of fault? cos if it's a fault there's not going to be a point in replacing them as they'll just die.

But, maybe call a Sony repair agent? These guys normally have the parts or access to them.

Buy some new speakers, it's the only worthwhile option. Even if the sony speakers are half decent you could get a better pair elsewhere.

Just buy some new speakers dude. There are lots of options that are really cheap and sound good. My Missions were under $200 and they sound great.

i would buy new speakers , but money is tight right now, im just finished college and dont have a job so i have very limited funds. they blew cause i was playing music on my laptop through the stereo and i was playin with the equalizer in itunes and turned it up loud on an already loud song and well, they just got all crackly and only work at low volumes now.
