Explorer just came up with that box that asks if you want auto complete enabled (shows a drop down list of things you have typed in the past in that box).

I selected OK by accident. Is there a way to turn it off?

In IE, click tools/internet options/content/auto complete and uncheck everything.

just get firefox; it's way better

but if you want to keep on using IE, follow these steps

1. From Internet Explorer, choose "Tools" then "Internet Options".
2. From the "Internet Options" multi-tabbed dialog box that appears, select the "Content" tab.
3. Click the "AutoComplete" button.
4. Uncheck everything.
5. Click the "Clear Forms" button.
6. Click the "Clear Passwords" button.
7. Press "OK" to close the dialog boxes.

This is how you do it: download another browser.

i've got to agree with the post above

when i used IE i tried a lot of pop-up killers to get rid of em. then i simply switched to firefox and the pop-ups were gone

just give firefox a try, you can always uninstall if you don't like it

Yes you can. I currently have Firefox and IE on my computer. I may also install Opera.
