Yes, isn't it insane how much hands-on assembly was required from start to finish? No way this kind of level of craftsmanship can be achieved again (at least, for a reasonable price). Makes me want to grab another pair of Mullards! Did you see the 17th minute, where that worker welds those tiny tiny multiple welds in blazing time? Man, a lost artform!

Good stuff !! This film also illustrates why the 50's were the start of economic boom times. All those factories and all those jobs created by one company in one country to supply just parts for a larger radio and television manufacturing industry.
