    Any recommendations? I am trying to plan out my next few purchases, looking at getting the HE-6 and a pair of monitors to go along with my LCD-2s. Obviously, the amp needs to have a headphone jack.
 
    Feel free to recommend speakers as well, I am still researching. Mainly near field listening, max distance I would ever be from the speakers - 12 feet (normally much closer).
 
    Budget:
      Amp: 1000-1500
      Speakers: 1000-1500 for pair

Yep, it's DIY, but the Bottlehead kits are a lot of fun (and not difficult) to build.  I built the Crack kit and then added the Speedball and a few other upgrades without ever having picked up a soldering iron before.  You get an awesome amp (without paying the add-on costs for labor) and bonus of having built it yourself.  I'm not 100% sure on the HE-6s, though from this post http://www.head-fi.org/t/644646/anyone-using-a-bottlehead-s-e-x-2-1#post_9232418 looks like it's a good match.
