so i have this pair of sony MDR-V700's that one of the speakers stops working on.. its the speaker with the line going in to it... i took it apart and started to take a peek...
so there are a few weird things....
all of the connections look fine
wiggling the wire has no effect, even with a fairly rough wiggle.
if i tap the connections with a peice of metal it picks up again.. even with a very light tap.. a plastic tap/press has no effect
it doesnt seem to matter which connection i tap (red, black, green) it will pretty much always pick up again... kind of hit or miss though, seems the black has the best effect on fixing this, but not always...
also the majority of the time it seems to fade in and out, but not always..
my gut is telling me it has to do with grounding, but im not really sure...
what would you guys do?
