Where can I try out headphones in Santa Clara area of California, USA? I want to try out HD600s or even HD800s. Guitarcenter says they'll sell me it and allow me to return it.

You could try Santana Row BestBuy with a Magnolia's.  They have some Sennheiser's usually available on display but don't deal as well as GuitarCenter.
