This is only an idea. Say people were willing to share their amps and headphones or maybe IC's, sources. Whatever. We could do a virtual meet. The person wanting to audition the items would pick up the tab for all shipping cost and if there was damage/loss it costs them. Just an idea.

Like I said, I'm down to let someone listen to my MG Head OTL while I'm off for break. I've got the original packing materials, and some very nice tubes. You pay for shipping and insurance both ways, and its your for 3 weeks. Granted, I'm not comfortable lending my stuff out to just anyone. So if you're new here, or not well know, or not personally know by someone I know, then you're probably outta luck.

Ugh, I'd love to see how an MG head would do in my system, but alas, I'm just too paranoid about damage during shipping, etc. "Hey, my MG head didn't hum before I sent it to you!"

The other problem I forsee is international shipping. Given the dispersed geographic location, S&H can be troublesome.

I did have the thought of sharing my Rega Ear since I rarely use it now. I thought it would be a great idea for newbies who doubt headphone amp would make a difference and the best way to convince them is to have them try it out. I also thought of a minimum post count but newbies usually have no ( or low ) post counts which defeats my initial intention. Just a thought.
