I just got the Nova and I’m blown away. I liked the Hexa, and felt it presented everything clearly and accurately, but the Nova just feels like it’s doing everything better. I’m using Oratory1990s EQ settings being powered by the iFi Zen DAC v3 and it sounds so smooth. Has me questioning why I even bother with over ear headphones at all. They are huge, and I’m a big guy with big ears so it’s not a big deal for me, but I can understand that being a barrier for entry for some, and honestly I hate that for you, because these are unreal.

NOVAs are very good indeed. There are several good over ear headphones for big ears. Sennheiser HD560S/HD620S. Hifiman Arya/HE1000 and some DCA headphones.

I have the HD 600, and like them a good bit after using them with EQ, but I feel like I had to tweak them A LOT to get them sounding how I wanted to, and the Nova was pretty great out of the box and near perfect after applying EQ. Something about the way cymbal hits sound is so satisfying, and the bass response feels better too.

I didn't use that many IEMs from Truthear, Just Hola & Gate. Among them, I love Hola.
