So Im drawn to some of the cheaper prices on eBay, but am worried about potential knock-offs--Im looking to get both the Sennheiser HD 280's and 580's

Is there a list somewhere of trusted "new only" sellers/ anyone got any tips & experience?

I bought both of my headphones from eBay, and I didn't have any problems (UE super.fi5 Pros, and Senn 595s).

Just as long as you are going through a seller with good feedback, and are paying through PayPal, I think it's pretty safe. Just make sure to compeletely read the listing of the item, and make sure it's the item you are looking for.

both these sellers are around 99%, and are both in the us (where I live)

still a little nervous tho, would there be any way/clue to tell (if fake) once i received them?

Before you decide to buy only looking at the seller's feedback point, DO INDEED check what people had put down as a feedback.

For instance sellers like "visccs" or "singkwan123" are selling fake Sony V700DJ's, but they still have pretty high Positive Percentage and the Feedback point...

but, I still need to know if there are any characteristics of fakes? any way at all to tell?
