I'm trying to find a current CD play with a true line-out (I plan to use separate amp), but I'm struggling to find one.

I've searched this forum and other forums (so back-off AIM9x) and am getting conflicting results. For example, one thread said that the Nomad Jukebox 3 has a line-out. But, another thread said it didn't. I went to their website, and it didn't indicate that it had a true, unamplified line-out. It sounded like they had two sets of amplified outputs.

Then, I've picked up conflicting threads about whether the more expensive Sony's have true line-outs. I've gone the Sony site and it's not clear that they have true line-out's.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

AFAIK the J1000 has line out, don't know if the 2000 also has one...

I agree. It would be nice if some knowledgeably pcdp person posted a list of which players have true lineouts and which ones have the opamp in the path. I suppose the only way to know is to open them up and check it out....

Welcome to Head-Fi. Sorry about your wallet, and your life.

If Creative's site said the njb3 had a true line out, then I'm guessing it most likely does.
