(Trouble) HM5 Earpads with Audeze Sine

Currently trying to figure out what`s going on with these pads.

Just switched out stock for the HM5 and notice a dramatic drop in quality of headphone, but a lot smoother. After a bit of messing with it I thought it could be the mesh that is in the pad, because the stock pads placed around the same distance away still have the same clarity.

So if anyone has any ideas about how to fix this, or has another pad recommendation that does not destroy the quality I would love to hear it.

Turns out the problem may lie in the mesh, so next question is will not having the mesh behind the pad do damage eventually due to particles. If so, any ideas on materials?
