But you mentioned cramped soundstage and imaging, they are supposed to be quite good no matter how bad the timbre is. It doesn't make sense. There must be something wrong in the signal chain.

I stand by my review, got another one from Amazon.. sounds typical...

I wonder if the reviewers ever hear CA16, ZAX or TFZ Tequila (after burn in period) and to compare it with V90s, it's a pure disappointment.

Even my ZS10 Pro is a lot better, failed product.

If you have those 3 IEMs mentioned above, DON'T EVEN TRY to come close to V90s, BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.

That 4-5K drop really makes the sound imaging suffers

Compared to all 3, CA16 is not in the picture

I am ready to throw V90s, but decided to keep it... after amping it with BTR5 that I bought for anticipation of Kbear Believe... apparently it came alive with 80mW amp power...

iphone by itself can’t power this IEM.

it opens up with amping, great soundstage, exactly piercing treble, but with comply tip that’s taken care, EQ is a must for 4K gain to help with its thin mids. The strongest point for V90s is the well balanced bass and its weakesr point is the thin mid, distant vocal. Timber somewhat unnatural, slight distortion noticed above 95dB.

Congrats, now that's more like the sound signature of the V90s. 80mW still isn't much of amping power ... I wonder if you will need another amp/DAP soon.

Anyone using BT20S Pro with CIEMs? Do they fit in the case? And also: is it confirmed that the hiss with high sensitivity IEMs is gone?

Is that with 3.5mm or balanced 2.5mm? And to piggyback on these comments, if you had a btr5 and wanted to upgrade, something that supports LDAC, with a balanced out, what's your best bet?

BTR5 has balanced out too, one of the best BT/DAC out there. I tried it with 3.5mm, I also have 2.5mm, but it does not differ much except for loudness. V90s sounded super bad on iphone. But personally I would not touch TRN anymore due to their QC problems. There are better IEMs out there with better price and quality.

Not very happy with TRN aliexpress store.

BT20S Pro, no more hiss, BT20S Pro does not have enough power to power up some IEMs, V90s is one of this... sounded bad, since it needs at least 70mW to power up its drivers.

I am not sure that I can trust 22ohm impedance with 108dB sensitivity on V90s, sounded so bad on Iphone XR.

Here's something new with the ba5. Sound would become muffled like a pillow over a speaker, if I move my head left to right, up and down, or shift my jaw, left and right. But now it only changes when I shift my jaw, and seems to be lessening. I wore them for 6 hours straight and 4 hours straight and no moisture issues.

100% verified.

CVJ is a sister brand of TRN, just like CCA is a sister brand of KZ.

That actually explains a lot

Very interesting :) You wouldn't have guessed it from the product presentation (TRN - bargain basement even for the BA8; CVJ - wooden box for everything).

Just bought myself a M11 Pro and a Shanling M6, the V90s sounds extremely good with the Fiio. Sounds only ok with my ZX507 mod. Will play around with the M6 later. The BA5 on the other hand sounds quite bad with the M11 Pro and ok with the ZX507 and then pretty good with a tube amp. Finger crossed, no problem so far with all my TRN.

Sorry in advance for when those 8kHz hi-hats drop!
