BA8 has arrived in a little over two weeks using AE standard shipping, which is a record for me. You can see that these are packaged to present a more upscale impression. I'll post listening impressions soon.

First impressions are that I like them quite a lot. I feel they are a significant upgrade over the BA5. It's less of a fun or V-shaped tuning and more of a balanced tuning, with mid-range being being more present/immediate/clear, and the bass dialed back a bit. BA5 mids seem veiled and distant by comparison. For me, they're worth the price premium, but I wouldn't say they are more than twice as good as the BA5.
Looks like another v shaped IEM. +15db pinna gain is crazy. They may be can be great with little mod but price a bit steep for TRN. Im more afraid of their QC
It's a bit bright but for me it's in bounds. CVJ CSN was much brighter. I don't think there is a BA in the nozzle so I doubt it sounds like the VX. Lots of people here have liked the LZ A6 Mini but that's brighter for me, too, unless using the red filter. I hope we'll see other reviews soon.
Yeah man, that +15db pinna gain is wow. The BA5 is on +12db pinna gain and a bit over for me that time. Now that im more used to lower than +10db pinna gain sure it will be painful. And some more their infamous QC and now come with steep price.
ZAX maybe a better option this time

That piece of paper also came with my wobbly connector of BA5, worse on crin's unit with dead bass driver on one of the unit.
Not meant to be ranting but they need to seriously improve their QC for better products. And learn from tuning mistake (read VX)

And...what exactly is an "Inspestion Qualification"?! If they can't even take the time to learn how to spell "inspection" properly, there's a good chance that there wasn't any QC control involved at all. Looks like anyone expecting any QC from TRN is fooling themselves with "Driams". Too bad, since TRN had the "Oppoty" to make this a really great set. Lol!
I guess even if they do honour this warranty, sending back defective gear to China (if say u bought it from Aliexpress) may sometimes cost the same as a budget CHIFI, not worth the hassle/costs most of the time.
I've been burnt by TRN QC a few times in the past - my TRN IM2, TRN BT20 and TRN BT20S all died within a few months of use, and there were some moisture condensation issues with their first batch of TRN BA5 (where sound would intermittently cut out), but so far the latest TRNs that I've tried for a few weeks (TRN STM and TRN VX) seem to be quite good in terms of build, no complaints on that end, keeping fingers crossed (but there are complaints from myself personally about the harsh upper mids/treble for the TRN VX).
Anyways, the TRN STM is surprisingly quite good for the cheap price, with the tuning filters not being gimmicks and actually changing the sound signature. I like it much more than the TRN VX. The TRN STM's BA is still in the nozzle, but thankfully the tuning filters have damping materials to "cushion" against the harshness of the nozzle BA, I quite like it with the red filters. Technicalities are not bad, bright V shaped set that is quite coherent in tuning. Unfortunately it falls short in the area of timbre and has quite thin note weight, but those are small nitpicks for the price of $22 USD. I have to judge the TRN VX (and TRN BA8) much more harshly cause they cost way more than the TRN STM.
