Hmmm seems to be my best options even if people say they suck . I can't find any thing else that has a mic and 5.1 surround . Anyone know of a combo that has stereo surround sound(with an adapter of course) a mic and around 100 $ ?

Nope.. You'd need to spend close to 200 plus using a clip in mic.. If you want a all in one package just get the Trittons.. I'm sure they will satisfy you.. I have convinced quite a few people to ditch their Trittons.. This is a email I was sent a while ago.. But for your criteria & price range I'd get the Trittons..

"whats up KBI, I know you dont know me but I just want to thank you for your input on headphones. You were 110% correct about the headphones on the market. Before your input I bought the TRITTONS AX360 about 7months ago. I read your post and I started searching for headphones on the net that you suggested and others on the same level.I found a site "headphonereviews.org" and I wound up buying the DENON AH-D1001 and i use them on my xbox 360 and my old yamaha rx-v2500 reciever which has SILENT CINEMA that has about 10 different surround effects through the headphone jack. I dont know how to tell you how right you were about quality headphones vs. 5.1 gaming headphones its not even close in sound quality, sound positioning, or comfort. As for as the tritton's they are heavy and they sound horrible on movies, music and they lack bass big time(they use some fake vibbrating feature for the bass). And as for as gaming sound, they sound like trash compared to the denons. Once again I want to say thanks! I sent this to you private because I didnt want to offend any tritton owners who are proud of their headphones"

I think he should avoid the Trittons, but if he wants a headset & 5.1 for under a 100.00 I don't see another alternative.. Unless he wants a clip on.. even though you'd need to tweak it for Xbox live..

Ok if you compare the trittons sound quality to pair of stereo headphones, how much would be the stereo headphones

Trittons retail for 130.00.. Id say it would probably be comparable to a 30-40 stereo headphone. I still think your best bet woud be the Koss 75 & the JVC adapter.. But, you want a built in mic, so I'd go the Tritton route..
