David recently did a re-cabling of my Sony headphones with Cardas 4X24 litz and re-wired the headphones so that I could use them with my balanced headphone amplifier. See photo.

Before that, he made a 3.5mm to dual rca cable for my Dragonfly Red dac that sounds much better than the expensive Audioquest Sydney cable I previously used with the Red.

David does excellent work. He gets things done quickly and keeps you updated on the status of the work he is doing until he ships it out.

Under 50 hours with Triton12, and i must say I'm impressed with this pure copper cable. Quite opposite presentation from ALO Slitz, more sub bass, more high extention and mid bass. The staging I feel a bit smaller, but i'll listen more before forming a complete opinion

You are going to love them. The 4-wire quickly became my most highly regarded cable bar-none and I’ve had over 30 quality cables. It lives semi-permanently on my Noble Khan and build, sound and comfort are all world class. David has a real winner with these and I cannot praise them enough.

I hope they arrive quickly and safely. Here’s the other version David does with Cardas Clear wire:

It’s a bit more reference and “holographic” if you will, so a great match for the Legend X. You cannot go wrong with either.

Cheers and thanks again David!

Hi @SeeSax

What's are the sonic differences between the 2-wire and 4-wire?

I'm the proud owner of a 2-wire and honestly, I don't think I have heard a better cable. Incredibly holographic sounding and everything just sounds so explosive but yet clean.

I see that @alpha421 now have the 4-wire variant on sale and I'm tempted!

To my ears, the 2-wire is warmer and slightly more “natural” sounding, while 4-wire brings out more detail (slightly) and has a more forward mid-range and treble. The 4-wire just has more of everything and sounds more neutral, but with the same bass impact. I don’t prefer one or the other, just different sounds that will depend on your preferences and IEM pairing. Can’t go wrong!

All,

First, I wish everyone, their family, and friends the best and good health in the situation we are living in.

Second, I want to thank the community for their support with the Triton8 IEM cable that I've now retired. It was a cable that was unapologetic when it comes to cable microphonics and ergonomics due to its Teflon dielectric, but pulled through to help extract the last drops of audio performance within an IEM chain. In retrospect, I went through half of dozen wires before settling on the OCC Copper and SPC used to hand make the Triton8.

In the coming weeks, I'll be making twelve Triton8 cables with the remaining wire stock and specially priced to members. As a tribute to the original Triton8 that I created almost 2 years ago, all will have the original twist braid construction and the black Triton logo heat shrink splitter. There will be 4 hybrids and 8 copper Triton8 cables with 2pin and mmcx connectors and 2.5mm / 4.4mm / 3.5mm termination combos. Sorry in advance, but I won't be accepting modifications on these last twelve Triton8 cables - WYSIWYG. I'll have them posted in the FS cable thread when done, and I hope they all find a good home.

Stay strong and healthy.

Best Regards,

David C.
