Note: I have not heard the TF10P.
I wouldn't say so.
From my P.O.V, the purpose of you getting the PK1 is to enjoy the music right? If you plan to get the TF10P to do the same, I do not see any reason as to why not you should not, especially if you wish to have isolation on the go.
I do not know about the TF10P, nor do I know how the PK1s sound like, but what I do know about them is that you're meant to enjoy your music with them.
The T2 is not a spectacular amp, but it gets the job done whilst allowing for a bit of flexibility with a minor bass boosting system. Though there are better choices out there, the T2 will drive the TF10P more than sufficiently, given the application the TF10P is designed for (listening out of a portable player).
Out of a portable player, most people won't really bother discerning about compressing MP3s or whatever. I don't use FLAC on the go since they take up more battery life in addition of space (but then again, it doesn't help that my player is flash based), but rather anything between CBR 192kbps or LAME V3 VBR.
Basically, what I think is that on the go, you probably won't be discerning your music as much as you would at home, if you're that kind of listener that is.
Also, another factor about getting the higher end universal fit earphones is perhaps the possibility of future expansion of your rig should you choose to do so, and having to avoid getting hit by an upgrade bug (I hope) in case that ever happens.
Remember, its your sound, you're the one who'll be enjoying it.
If it makes you happy, no one else can be the wiser
