I have narrowed my choices for a new IEM down to the Triple.fi 10 Pro. My only other IEM is a ER4S using the white rubber tips. With that combo they work well for myself.

While researching the UE and 530s, I have read that some UE owners find it is on the larger side causing fit concerns.

Has anyone tried to compare the fit between the Etys and the UE?

Thanks for your help.

For me the Ety's are much more comfortable but using Shure black olives the TFP is acceptable in that I can wear it for several hours without discomfort. The TFP is probably near 5 times bigger than the Ety so small ears can be a problem.

It's true that the Triple.Fi are a bit of a culture shock when you're used to the ER4P. The Shure Olive tips will transform the way these phones fit in your ear. Invest in a pair of needle-nosed pliers and use them to stretch the core (be fairly brutal and give them a good stretch - they can take it) and you shouldn't have any problems getting them to fit.

One of the really nice things about using these tips (same applies to the ER4P's as well) is that they greatly reduce the occlusion effect where you hear every footstep when you're walking around with them on.

I hope this helps.

I do not want to order the Triple.fi IEMs and find that they do not fit well and have to send them back. If I end up getting them, I will be sure to pick up some of the Shure tips.

Thank you for the input!

I also have the er4p's and I cannot recommend the Triple.Fi's highly enough. They are definitely better than both the shure e500's and er4's in my opinion. Don't worry about the fit, the olive's will make them sound better and greatly improve the comfort and fit.

Whether you consider the TFP to be better than the Ety must end up being a personal matter. I find that they are both great but each time I use the one I find that I am missing something from the other so to me they complement each other, the TFP can not replace the Ety, and especially not one with the APureSound cable.

I strongly suggest the op to buy a Westone ES cable for the Triple fi. It will turn comfort light years ahead.

my main issue probably is how they look, i dont like the over the ear style, and it sticks out like crazy if i dont do it that way.

Comply Foam tips are a God send too! for fitting the triple-fis.
Too bad the Complies are consumed and need to be replaced every now and then.

After i got them and did the Flip Mod, the left piece on my right ear seems loses everytime, and i cant get a good seal at all over the ear style. Which makes it bit airy and feels weird. Left ear is oright thou. I'll experiment bit more.. using the stock mid tips.
