Oh, the excitement.

Just pulled the trigger on a pair of DT880's, 600Ω.
Besides adding little design touches (I kept it as simple and clean as possible though) I also splurged for extra leather earpads. Curious to see how great of an impact on the sound they can have over velour. ^^

The whole thing ended up at $502 (including shipping). About $202 more than I wanted to spend on my next pair of cans.

At first I had my eye on the regular 250Ω-version which I could get for a great price, but I know myself - I wouldn't been able to stop thinking "I wonder how much better the 600Ω sounds..?".
I love how the 250Ω sounds and if the 600Ω boasts further refinement I think I'll be very very pleased.

And last but not least, the design:

BTW, for those of you who have ordered and received a Beyer Manufacture:
How long was the wait - counting from the day you ordered til the day you had them in your hands?

Congrats, those are very attractive cans. I like the understated yet elegant asthetic you sprung for. I hope to hear the DT880 some day.

Plus everytime I see the OP's handle it reminds me I need to buy more Woven Hand albums.
