Tri-State Invite Oct. 18 @ Elizabeth Place (Dayton, OH) 9am-8pm

I have been able to procure a conference room @ Elizabeth Place in Dayton. This is just off 71 and 35 downtown. Elizabeth Place has graciously offered this at no cost and I will host the place and clean up.

It would sure be great if some of you seasoned members with sweet rigs could show some newbs how good music can sound.

We have a fertile area of head-fiers so let's get together and enjoy our hobby and talk shop.

If you can attend, let us know how many and what you can bring.

A couple of guys from work will probably drop by with minimal gear but eager to see what it's all about.

I will be there! I just sold off my Lite DAC-AH and EC/SS, so what I bring will depend on what I decide to buy within the next two weeks. As far as headphones, I will bring my HD650 and HD25-1.

Well, 2 days before the meet and only 2 people signed up. Stick a fork in it, it's done.

The meet is off at this time and not sure there will be a makeup date due to disinterest.

Just a quick followup. Compuryan, Hardwired and I were able to get together for a 5 hour meet at Compuryan's home.

I must say the time was enjoyable and the equipment ear-opening.

We were able to pull the RS-1, K-701, HD-650, D-2000, Ed. 9s together along with portables Yuin PK-1, Ety 4s, ATH EW-9, Shure E500. Sources were a Benchmark DAC1 and two imods. Amps were a Cayin HA-1A, SP Extreme/Platinum, Headroom Microamps and a Xin Macro IV. Also in attendance were several tubes (the RCA 12AV7 cleartop took the prize), the VD Power 1 cord, Nordost Red Dawn ICs, Audioquest Rubys and a couple nice DIY minis.

Thanks guys for putting out the effort. Perhaps we can try for another meet with more participants in the future.

I'd be interested in another meet, whether it was mini or not. I could provide the Baby Orpheus system as well as the Zana Duex with the W5000, K501, and HD600.

I'm sure I will be getting rid of some of my gear in the near future, so I would love for others to get the chance to hear it before I do!

that would be a real treat! I would love to set up a date. I actually will be back in the Dayton area October 16-19 so any of those dates would work. Also I'll be home around thanksgiving if we want to have one then.

I'll be out of town Thanksgiving but Oct 16-19 works for me. I would love to hear number1's Zana Deux and the Baby Orpheus if we can pull it together.
