Hi friend, I asked our engineer about your question, and he told me you can ignore that reminder and use the cable and adapter directly. The reminder (Says only one accessory can be used at a time) isn't related to the cables. It appears when users connect Apple devices.

I don't have them but I've read the specs and are 14 ohms 103+-3 db Spl MW !

Daps with more power and higher output impedance will flatten the sound ! dongles for the extra loudness and a bit better technical performance with 0,1 - 0,2 output impedance will sound the best I guess .

Yes this definitely needs smartphone power

Yes. They are indeed easy to drive but will definitely benefit with more power. They scale well. My current favourite dongle pairing with the Starlight is the RU6.

I'll probably buy the wood version . As the frequency response shows , the new wood version It might sound warmer than the original version with more emphasis on sub bass .

Good choice, Max! I would get the wood casing if I were buying mine today.

I am with @yaps66, the Starlights are perfectly fine using most DAC/Amps. Obviously, you have to put up the volume higher than you would with other IEMs.

However, you get a lot of more out of them with more powerful DAC/Amps. The Sonion electrostatic drivers deliver much more with more power (not volume).

For warmth try tube amps, I use the Littlebear B4X (portable) and the Xduoo MT604 fixed. You get a wonderful magical sound from the Starlights and it is not just the bass, across the frequency spectrum.

Grace-S is really a good cable for many IEMs from TRI.
