His experience with Kbear/Tri so far never been a positive one.
Who knows what's going on with him and the brand.
Well he tends to favour the brands and models that Linsoul sell. I take his reviews with a grain of salt.

There's an upcoming Aliexpress Anniversary sale on 27/03/20, and the announced sale price (lowest among all the stores I searched) for the TRI I3 I saw was $125. With stacking coupons, I think it could be had for around $117 USD.

Quite itchy to pull the trigger on it.
Just wondering if anyone here has the Oriveti New Primacy to compare with the TRI I3? The ONP is my current favourite midcentric set, and everyone here seems to like the mids for the TRI I3.

TIA!!!

Pulled the trigger on the TRI I3 now that the Aliexpress sales opened. Thanks @tgx78 , @SciOC @DynamicEars for your feedback on it!

Fingers crossed, I hope this will be my last IEM purchase for the sale haha. I'm still stupidly looking at earbuds, which is another endless rabbithole.

But cause of the coronavirus, the economy looks like it may be headed for a recession soon, so I'll have to cut back on purchasing CHIFI sidegrades. Any future purchase for me will need to be a clear upgrade, be at great sale prices, or have a different tuning/transducer type from what I already have. Don't own a planar yet and everyone vouches for the great mids of the TRI I3, so thanks everyone for your advise!

You guys will like the i3’s! Mine are two weeks old and awesome sounding! Tonite or this morning early I finally hooked up my Ibasso D14 Bushmaster (sounds like a rifle name) to the TRI I3’s and its delightful...lol...with a bit of power behind them they really sing Oh my god!
Enjoy folks! Now what to get next ...EJ07, Nanna, or V14’s? So far a great year for IEMs, a huge choice and tons of new technologies in play.

Just reading that comparison and looking at my stuff, unless they come out with an insanely better set I’m gonna be reading and not buying too much. I’ve got T800 ($299), these Tri I3 ($169) and several other first rate sounding sets, I’m pretty well set for a nice long (avoiding the Virus) marathon music session. Sporting events and full seasons are being canceled or played to an empty stadium, stock market is freaky, this is bad now. I don’t intensely listen to any news broadcasts as they just bum me out but certain decisions are being made that upset folks more and cost companies millions. Whats next???

With the sale going on for just a day longer, i was wondering if you thought it was at all worthwhile owning the t800 and the i3? I also own the t800, and sony ex1000, but i really wanted to try a tri-brid that isnt 500+. As much as id like to try the shuoer ej07 or st7, i just dont feel luke throwing that much into iems atm. I do enjoy the t800 quite a bit, my own qc issues aside. The bass can be annoying at times, since its still BA bass, great for ba bass, but still not that dynamic or planar bass i love. Also, one thing that would be great if you or anyone else could compare, is the i3 vs t800 as far as timbre goes, especially in electric guitar tone/accuracy. Thats one thing the t800 doesnt satisfy me with, the detail/clarity is outstanding but leaves something to be desired as far as timbre and accuracy goes. Thanks in advance

I really love the i3’s and they have a tremendously cohesive sound. I’m loving both together as they each offer a unique sound. I would say grab them, I saved two months to grab some and have no regrets. Last night I used the i3s amped and they just blew me away. I really think you’ll dig them! I’m lousy at comparing as my ears have been cooked for years behind my drums, cymbals etc....

Ok so how about specifics between the 2 as far as timbre goes? Is the i3 "better" in that area?

Personally, I find i3's timbre better than T800, but bear in mind I only listen to classical music.

I listen to some classical, alot of prog metal and prog rock. The thing about the t800 i love is its super fast treble and mids, but the bass, not so much. The ex1k has better bass, but treble gets blurry in heavily complex passages. I probably should steer away from anything other than TOTL sets if i want an actual upgrade. Someone told me to grab the ej07, but there's the st7 which is a rebrand that could be had for 550 right now. Dangit, wish i could rent iems i swear someone needs to start that sort of business in the USA
