Can't seem to find anything that will tell me how to wire a tranny parallel style. I'm using an Amveco TE62072-ND (http://dkc3.digikey.com/PDF/T083/P2317.pdf). Any help would be appreciated. I need it to output 12 Volts and 2.9 amps.

Also, what's the polarity on an IEC jack?

Thanks,

I'm pretty sure the transformer should have the following wiring for 115Vac:
Primary side
Yellow & red connected together going to Line
Black & Violet connected together going to Neutral

Secondary side
Green & Brown connected together going to one input of diode bridge
Red & Blue connected together going to other input of diode bridge

If your input voltage is 230Vac, you'd just connect the primary side windings in series instead:
Yellow going to Line
Red & Black connected together
Violet going to Neutral

The "parallel style" only refers to how to connect the secondary windings, the only reason the primary is split-windings is to allow it to be used with those two different input voltages (115 vs. 230)

edit: about the IEC jack, i don't know. For a wall outlet it's as shown in this picture:

I want to say that Hot (aka "Line") and Neutral should be reversed for the IEC... but I really don't know, so don't trust what i say!

For 230V operation, connect primaries in series by connecting black and re
lead wires together and apply 230V across yellow and violet leads wires.
For 115V operation, connect primaries in parallel by connecting yellow and
red lead wires together and black and violet leads wires.
To parallel the secondaries, connect green and brown wires and red and
blue together. To connect the secondaries in series, the red and brown
wires are connected together. Take the output across the green and
blue wires.
