After also considering CIEMs in my other thread - http://www.head-fi.org/t/824978/totl-ciem-for-pop-music
I am also thinking about UIEMs. I listen to pop, punk-rock,alternate rock, hip-hop and the sort. Which among 64 audio U12, JH Angie and Campfire Audio Vega would be better for these genres? Also, I like my bass, which among the 3 has the best bass in terms of texture and quantity?

Hello again.

I have not heard anything from Campfire Audio, but between Angie and the U12, the U12 has the better bass, BY FAR. It goes much deeper, has better layering, and I'd say about the same quantity.

Angie has a bass adjuster in the cable, so you get as much or little as you want. But if you set it all the way up, the U12 comes close to sheer bass volume.

I make thorough comparisons between Angie, Solar, and U12 in my U12 Review.

By the way, Solar also comes in Universal design.

Thanks for the replies man. A fellow head-fier and friend recommended me the Angies based on my music preferences. He has never heard 64 audio so he didn't know about the U12s.

From your review, it sounded that I would enjoy the U12 a lot.

I am upgrading from a JVC FX-850. I really the bass texture and quantity of this IEM but everything else, not so much. What  do you think would be a perfect upgrade? Currently deciding between Angie(Universal), Vega, K10(Custom) and U12(Universal).

I have not heard the JVC, so I can't say which is closer to that signature. But I do feel the U12 is a true and impressive upgrade to Angie. So if you are interested in Angie, I feel the U12 is the way to go.

I currently also have the TH-X00 PH(and Beyer 770 Pro 32). Have you heard any of those. Can you compare the U12 to those or is the U12 so far ahead that it leaves these behind?

Also is the U12 with the new APEX module just as good as ADEL?

I should pose these types of questions in the 64Audio thread. You'll get more responses, which will give you more accurate expectations. That goes for any other IEM or headphone you are interested in. Visit their official threads. That's where the true experts lie. :)

As for the ADEL/Apex issue... they do different things. They both sound great. Again, you'll get more information, better information, in the official thread. I'm not versed enough in their two different technologies to explain it well.
