Hey all,
I have a pair of ATH-A900s that I got about a year ago, and I'm considering buying a Total Bithead amp from HeadRoom to use with them. Is it worth the money ($150), in your opinion? I've looked around, and some places say that the A900s have such low impedance that an amplifier wouldn't make much of a difference, while others testify that these things sound way better with an amp.
Right now I use these headphones about 2 or 3 hours a day minimum, straight out of the audio jack on my Mac Mini. It's pretty good as integrated sound goes; I don't get any crackles or buzzing like I do on my PC motherboard's (terrible) integrated sound.
Can anyone weigh in on this? Also, I've never bought or returned anything to HeadRoom before. They don't pull any dirty tricks with returns, do they?
