I sent an email to Headroom, but since it is the weekend, I thought I'd try here. Is the $14.95 power supply that Headroom sells for the Total Airhead a regulated power supply? If not, would there be any benefit to getting a regulated power supply instead? I currently have a Headamp GS-1 for my main stereo system and a Gilmore Lite. I want a lower cost amp to use in my travel trailer while on vacation and want to try the crossfeed also. I use the GS-1 for my DT880s and the Lite with my HD590s. I have another HD590 that I will use with the Total Airhead. I may also use my AL 716 with the Airhead.

By the way, I also have a PA2V2. I am assuming that the higher voltage of the Total Airhead will make it an improvement over the PA2V2.

I have the AirHead (as well as the GS-1). I don't know if the power supply is regulated or not (don't even know what that means

) but it is just an el cheapo wall wart that is around 4 cubic inches.

It is a pretty nice sounding amp by the way. I did a head-to-head comparison between the Total AirHead and the GS-1 and they don't sound all that different to be honest. Considering that my GS-1 (with DACT stepped attenuator) costs almost 10X as much, that is pretty good.
