Wow, I bought the NX7. It's a great little AMP in fact the best and cleanest sounding portable AMP I ever heard.

A lot of reviewers listed main con as it's not having a DAC built in, and Topping surely surprised with G5.

The best part is Topping kept the analog in.

How does it compare to ifi signature

NX7 has the best measurements for any portable headphone amplifier out there right now, it even has better measurements than some of the desktop AMPs.

The ifi AMPs I had were xCan and Gyphron. The AMP on NX7 is cleaner and much powerful than both of the ifi AMPs. The NFCA modules on NX7 definitely helps achieve the best performance for a portable AMP. If you don't care about the sound enhancements of ifi, NX7 is much cheaper and better option IMO.

Yeah on the gryphon i had my legend x turned up to 90 out of 100. On a powerful amp, shouldn't really go above about 50.

Could be some issue with your Gryphon? because with my HD6XX I didn't go past 90.
G5 is touch less powerful than NX7 at 16 and 32 ohms but at 300 and 600 ohms, it's almost similar.

Gryphon might match impedance. So it probably gives low power to iems even with ie match off.

That's not good, I would also prefer much more volume headroom. With NX7 you get a lot of headroom and it will be the same with G5 too.

There is a significant roll off above 18k. Maybe to achieve high SINAD? Not that impressive considering what they have done to achieve low noise and distortion along with the filter which is average.

@Apos Audio how does your shipping work. I was going to buy something it said shipping is 1-3 days but didn't say what service you use or the date it arrives.

The inventory in each facility fluctuates continuously given a variety of factors and considerations. The fulfillment center for each order is determined shortly before the order is being prepared for shipping.
