Wondering if anyone who owns the Topping E50 (or any Topping DAC) has experienced the same thing. I’ve looked it up online and I can’t find any mention of it so I wonder if I have an isolated case.
I was flipping through the filter options while listening to music and could hear a faint popping/ticking noise almost every time I switched it. It wasn’t very consistent; sometimes there wouldn’t be a noise, other times it was a tick on the left side, or a pop in the center. Tried it with no music playing and there weren’t any sounds.
I assume it’s just some sort of digital clipping because of the filter being changed but is it anything I should be concerned about? Is my DAC defective, and could something like this risk damaging my headphones? Probably not but I tend to worry about these kinds of things…
