I had a friend asking on which headphone to get for around 20$ or so lol so I directed him to the Koss KSC75's. He really likes the headphones as do I. So my question is what would you say are the best 50 or sub 50$ headphones. I dug out my 75's and am still blown away for how they sound for the $10 i got them for. For me it would be "Not specific order".

1. Koss KSC75's
2. Sennheiser MX500
3. Sennheiser PX100
4. Sennheiser HD 202
5. PortaPro

I have owned all of these cept the portpro's but I did get to use them.

portapro / sportapro =
basshead.gif

KSC75 = Groovy to the max
UR40 = Like a KSC75 but more open soundstage, A little less bass bloat.
MDR-E888 = fast and detailed for a cheap portable.

The MX500, while being arguably the best non-invasive earbud that there is is slaughtered in terms of quality by everything else there imho.

Like Kramer said, add SportaPro along with PortaPro. Maybe even the KTXPro1 since they have KSC75 drivers.

I'd also suggest the AKG K26P, some don't like them because of comfort and bloated bass, but if you're looking for a good bass can under $50, I think it's pretty good.

To me, all cheap closed cans, earbuds, or ear-canal phones are completely trounced by the open cans based on the PX100 driver or the Koss 60 ohm unit. So here's my list:

1. PX100
2. PMX100
3. Portapro
4. KSC75
5. Ktx-Pro1

The PMX100 is selling for $33 at Newegg, which is a tremendous deal for PX100 sound quality.

The PX100 and the PMX100 are basically the same phones. I'm glad that Sennheiser offers two different styles with the same sound.
