well, I would get these :

1. Robert Shaw/Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
Stravinsky: Firebird Suite & Borodin: Polovtsian Dances
Now available in 2-channel Soundstream SACD recording!
SACD-60039

2. Lorin Maazel/Cleveland Orchestra
Moussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition & Night on Bald Mountain
Now available in 2-channel Soundstream SACD recording!
SACD-60042

3. Robert Shaw/Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
Orff: Carmina Burana
Rhythm is the driving force behind Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. Whether loud and bombastic or sorrowful and gut-wrenching, this work is intensely dramatic. The musical setting of twenty-five poems is sung in medieval Latin and German.
Now available in 2-channel Soundstream SACD recording!
SACD-60056

4. Erich Kunzel/ Cincinnati Pops Orchestra/ Kiev Symphony Orchestra
Tchaikovsky: 1812 Overture
The Bigger Bang. Telarc is making history again. Recorded with DSD (Direct Stream Digital) encoding, the "new" recording of the 1812 Overture, along with six other popular works by Tchaikovsky, will delight a whole new generation of listeners.
Available in 2-channel stereo CD, as well as a 6-channel discrete surround sound and 2-channel stereo in SACD and DVD-Audio.
SACD-60541

I like catatonia's space ballad...it has that kind of silly/spacerock charm to it.

I don't think i'll ever get an sacd player though...since most of the music I like is likely never to be released in the format.

I haven't gotten anything yet. I've been indecisive, and poor. I'm going to do a bit more research before I get anything.

Poor yes, after spending on all that equipment! Well, not really that poor, but I'm saving up after splurging big time on those puppies. BTW, let me know how those SACDs you ordered sound.

Sure, I will keep you posted.
