I just ordered the UM2, and was wondering how many of you experience a channel imbalance with your Tomahawk with sensitive IEMs?

I'm thinking about getting one, and I'd prefer not to have to make a resistor adapter for it.

My 2move has a rather large imbalance, that even affects Grados at low volumes. And I'm sure that I won't be able to use my UM2 with it, which is unfortunate.

I don't experience any channel imbalance with my Tomahawk going through my triple.fi's.

Doubt this will help either way, but when I had my Hornet, it had a slight channel imbalance.

I'll probably get one regardless, since there are some reports of the amp having no such issues, but just wanted to check.

I wonder how people can use their ue-11's and such with all their amps. They must have the volume extremely high to get past the channel imbalance in some amps!

I could not use my UE sf3's because of this issue, even on low gain mode.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll go ahead and order a black one with a gold knob.

Both my Hornet, and Tomahawk have no channel imbalance using UE-10pros, or Klipsch Image.

i used to own the UM2 and predator before selling them off.
Yes, it's hard to control the volume for the UM2 even on low gain as UM2 is one of the most sensitive IEMs in the market. My listening volume of the UM2 paired with Predator hardly reached the 9 o'clock mark, more than that and it's too loud for me.

imo, the ue11 is less sensitive than the um2. Adjusting volume on the ue11 was much easier when paired with the predator than the um2 with predator.

No problems on channel imbalance with my Tomahawk and I've burned in a good 250+ hours on this little sucker at high gain with the knob dialed at 1 o'clock. On my third set of batteries as high gain is a bit of a power drainer.

My Red Tomahawk is fine at low volume. No problems with mine.

I just got my UM2, and sure enough it's unusable right out of my 2move. The pot is at its lowest possible and it's at full volume in my left ear.

Oh well, time to make a resistor adapter until my Tomahawk gets here.

Edit: Made a 90ohm resistor extension, and I barely get over the imbalance in my 2move by the time it's at full volume. I'm going to have to change it to 120 or so.
