i recieved the custom 2's on monday and so far I like them but i can only get a good seal with the double flange tips although they sound good there not exactly the most comfortable tips. Can anyone recommend some good tips? I normally use the large tips with the klipsch custom 2's or the large double flange tips. I used to use the medium tips when i had the UE metro.fi 2's but they were fairly large anyway. I've read through IEM guide and it seems that foam tips might be the best tips but which should I go for?

The complys will get dirty and yellowish over time but can be cleaned with soap and water. The shures are black so you won't notice any dirt or stains. Depending on how you treat them, a pair should last as long as 6 months. Possibly even longer. I have the Image X5 an I get the best seal with the large dual flange as well. The T100s are one size only and fit nicely in my ears. I use the medium Shure Olives and get a great fit as well. I think that the Shure Olives would last longer (they seem more robust to me). I could be wrong.

hmm, the t100s are cheaper but i dont want to keep buying tips. Also are you sure that they will fit because i bought some super.fi buds for my metro.fi earphones as amazon incorrectly labeled them as the metro.fi buds but they were smaller and thinner so they weren't too good.

I cannot guarantee that they will fit but I based it on the fact that the large dual flange tips give the best seal for you, which also gives me the best seal. The T100's give me a great seal. You will have to compress the tips with your fingers, insert them in your ears, and wait a few seconds for them to expand. A set of 5 pairs should last for a few years at least.

which do you think is better? The complys or the shures? Which is the most effective at giving a good seal? do they go deep or are they on the outer ear?

Both of them are just about the same as both of them provide great comfort. The Shure olives will look more aesthetically appealing over time. Both provide an excellent seal but the olives are wider when not compressed. They might be a better option if your worried about a seal in your ear. Both of them go deep.

You can get them directly from Shure's website. Having read these forums a fair amount just be carefull with the Shure Olive tips as many users have broken their phones trying to remove the tips after extended use.

Does anyone know if the Sony Hybrid's will fit on the C2? I bought some today at tstarn06's suggestion and found them to be very comfortable and they went on and off my Turbines very easily. They also seem to have thicker than normal walls on them helping them isolate better. They also have the benefit of not absorbing any of the highs, something I have experienced with Comply T400's.

id def say shure olives, i use the small ones as they go in v v deep.

only prob is if you buying them you have to buy then in packs of 10 which is kinda a lot if it turns out they dont work too well for you. why you cant buy them 2 at a time i dont know.

you could try asking here if any ones got any olives or complys they could sell you?

the only thing that comes up for "black foams" is the 10 pack for £15. Nothing comes up for "personal fit kit" or "fit kit". Can anyone sell me 1 medium pair only?

i emailed the very nice people at shure about this asking if i could have just 1 pair to see if they fit and they sent me the whole 10 pack! Its very generous of them and please, do not take advantage of there generosity, It was kind of them to do this and i don't think they'll continually do this.
