This site seems to be saying that there is a cure to Tinnitus.

http://www.noiserelief.com/

Anyone know anything about this? Is this for real? If so, it'd be a pretty nice solution to a pretty terrible problem, but how good can that really be for your ears?

That's not a cure. It's masking the tinnitus. Sort of like moving to NYC if you can't stand traffic noise.

No it works. My white noise generator for only $1000 will cure it.

Seriously, it is caused by noise trauma.

Avoid loud noises, listen to headphones at the lowest volume you can that will still provide enough tone body "bloom" to enjoy the music, and lay off of chocolate for awhile (which can sometimes aggravate it).

Woohoo!!!
$20 for some white noise, I'm sold... wait, I downloaded some free white noise a while ago. Hmmm, maybe my free white noise isn't as good for me as their expensive white noise. Oh it's all so confusing, perhaps their $20 white noise is audiophile quality

Who uses ALL CAPS for the body text on their website? An idiot. I didn't bother reading it.

Maybe they're "SCREAMING" in text because they think the readers with tinnitus need it?

The replies on this thread are awesome:

LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL

I used to hate these "ooooooh, so bad for you threads"

Now I'm lovin' them cuz everyone makes me laugh my belly off with tears in my eyes.

Simply awesome.

At least when I go deaf I can still read and type on HeadFi.

I posted this in another thread, but tinnitus is a condition that is treatable by using traditional Chinese medicine. I am not exactly sure whether it be acupuncture, cupping, herbal therapy, or moxibustion, but if I had tinnitus I would definitely be opening to exploring this avenue of treatment.
