Just got some vinyl in the mail from Rare Necessities in Syracuse:
Gram Parsons - Grievous Angel
The Clash - The Clash
Willie Nelson - Stardust
All 180 gram issues, all very good sounding. The Parsons album I bought more for the Emmylou Harris backing vocals. Sweet. The Clash album is mixed a bit too left and right, at least on the drum track, but great to turn up and rock out - roots punk at its best. The gem is Stardust, though. Rhythm guitar a little to the left, harmonica a little to the right, Willie and his guitar front and center. You can almost see the single spot light beaming down on him. A collection of standards, but Willie makes them his own. Highly recommended for anyone remotely interested in Willie Nelson.
