Wow! I'm actually impressed with these... I was going to replace my Apple IEMs with the Altec Lansing iM716, but I was in Future Shop and saw a shelf full of the Marshmellows and thought, meh what the heck.. for $24.99... why not.

I'm glad I did.

These are very tame sounding 'phones. They have impressive sound stage (slightly better than the Apples), the treble is very calm and clear (no silibance), while the bass is slightly on the muddy side, I don't find it in the least bit offensive in anyway, it's just.. well... 'mellow'.

Only downside is that they're not as efficient as the Apples.. but I have a feeling these aren't going to ruin my hearing like the Apples were.

Oh, and I got the green/white ones....

One more thing, I also don't have to use the EQ anymore.. they sound good as is.

I bought some mallows last week,I was at Wal-Mart and they jumped out at me....$20, why not?

I've only listened to them for about 20 minutes at this point. I'm giving them 250 hours of pink noise before I listen again.

they are on day 6...along with my 325i.

I thought they sounded pretty good for $20, but I like a lot of bass. I thought mids and treble were decent.

What I didn't like was the fact that I couldn't squish the foam very much...sorta have to just cram 'em in.

I got them when Best Buy had them for $15. I thought they sound very tinny and bad when I first got them, but they've burned in or I've gotten used to them or whatever, and they aren't so bad now. The isolation is pretty good too. I no longer have to crank my KSC75s while walking around campus.

I think that you can edit your thread title if you "go advanced" while editing...although that would sort of ruin the joke eh?

I love my 'mallows, best thing I can recommend is to remove the marshmellowy earpiece and use a pen knife to cut the little paper 'earwax guard' off of the end of the sound tube. After I did that I was really happy with these bad boys, seemed to help clean up the bass and make them sound... better

I hope that made sense. If not, search around, Kramer5150 came up with a bunch of mods for these, IIRC.

You just cut off the wax guard thing? Did you stick foam inside there or not? I cut out that paper filter and couldn't listen to them, way to harsh. But with foam inside it calms it down a little without sacrificing the newly acquired highs
