Three Brand New Earphones: Sony IER-Z1R, IER-M9 and IER-M7

Not interested in a fully BA set unless there're some spectacular reviews. The Z1R is interesting as a Dynamic mid should avoid what many refers to as cold vocals on a BA mid but I kinda bark at the idea of spending $2K (after tax) on something that I mostly use on the go or at the office (fair amount of ambient noise). While I'm at home, I mostly listen to my fully restored KEF 105.2 since I can listen to my over 300 vinyls with those.

Yes it's correct, hkd 13,990 is equivalent to USD 1805 for ier-z1r

Wow that's expensive! I love my Z1R though, so having a portable version for work sounds real nice. Maybe once the price drops after a year or two will I upgrade lol. I'm pretty content with my Oriolus for now.

Wow, just as I was about to write Sony off they come back from the grave and grab me by the balls.

Perhaps I should wait on those KSE 1500 I was about to purchase.
Lmao!

I never tried any of them. But I will definitely try out the new Z1R in-ear.

Got a used Z5 with the Sony-Kimber 4.4 balanced cable for a very good price and have been using it in place of my Z1R the last 4 weeks when it has been too hot for a big full size phone

I never got into high-end in-ears yet due to them itching my inner ear. Hopefully, these are a little more comfortable compared to those throwaway ones I'm used too.
