Hmm... I was composing a reply in the Music for Trade/Sale forum and I noticed there's an additional option to "rate this thread." It seems this only exists in that forum, since I've never seen it before. Slight oversight in forum software configuration, or..?

No, minya, the oversight was mine -- I deactivated the thread rating feature probably in the first week of Head-Fi's existence due to feedback from the members at the time who weren't comfortable with it (it was in all the Head-Fi forums at first).

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'll deactivate it for this forum, too. The member sentiment expressed to me at the time I deactivated the feature was that rating each other's threads might discourage the starting of new threads for fear of being evaluated/scored negatively.

Ah, I figured as such. Yeah, I'm with you on that - "rating" threads would undoubtedly turn into a pissing match between members with grudges.
