I feel so dumb. I bought 3 XL Brainwavz Earpads, one Sheepskin, one Dark Red Pleather and used them both for a week until my newest a Velour Earpad. The headphones I own are an Open-Back Audio Technica Ath-Ad700x, and a Closed-Back Monoprice Retro Over-Ear Headphone.
Today I received my newly purchased Brainwavz XL Velour Earpads, and placed them on my Monoprice Retro's, and started playing one of the songs I enjoy with these cans (Denzel Curry - Ultimate). I panicked starting to increase my volume thinking I was losing my hearing. The song sounded more distant with these Earpads. I'm definitely going to use these with my AD700X playing on the ps4 and never place them on the Monoprice.
