Those Amboyna X-Deep Darths?

.....you know, on Larrys' Deal Page. I looked this morning and there was no price on them - yet. I looked again around 5:30 and they're gone! Dagnabit!
I was interested in them. What was the price? They've GOT to be the culmination of all that has happened with Darths since the very first pair.
They better not end up in some )!&%@(%&b town like Chicago.

or I'll never get another pair ........never to utter the D-word again.

I think Larry had them up on sale for about 15 mins before 'TT' snagged them, the guy must've had his fingers on the refresh the whole time

I'm looking to buy a pair of deep open DB myself, but Larry's not had a pair for sale for a while

They were on sale for $895. I would have gone for them if they were $200 cheaper.

OH MAN did I want those. BAD. I would have snagged them if I had gotten there first. But I didn't. They did sell on 10 minutes Larry told me.

Congrats to who did. You scored an awesome set of cans. I like Amboyna Burl (my regular DB's are in that wood), and the deep-cup closed Darths are my favorite headphone of all time.

Larry mentioned that I barely beat someone, a matter of few minutes at the best.. I guess that'd be Skylab.

Funny part is that it was this Skylab's post that made me start looking for a pair of deep closed Darths in the first place, no good deed goes unpunished etc.

Now I just need to find a 2005 version leather headband to bring the best out of them..

Jeez -- they're so pretty, it makes me want to cry...I was watching for them, too. Dang.
I would have sold my Deal-6 Korina deeps if I scored those beauties.
Enjoy them!
I also think the deeps sound better than the standard cups (to my ears).

Yeah, that was my plan, to sell my Paduak deep-cups if I scored the Amboyna ones.

Oh well, Silverrain, at least we actually have Deep Cup DBs to enjoy. Pretty sure the pair TTOL just bought is only the 4th pair ever made.

That Cocobolo deal Larry is taunting us with right now, seems interesting, too.

Oh well -- maybe another Amboyna deep will appear one day *sigh*...or maybe something that is equally beautiful, though that is hard to imagine.

Yeah, pretty sure. There are also the Darth Boobies (not sure who owns those now), and at least 3 pairs of other *open* Deep-cup DBs, of which I own one.

I bet Larry could sell 10 pairs of those if he made 10. But he has said the deep-cup ones are a real pain to make. Too bad, they look and sound so awesome.

Omg those are the Prettiest of all Darths. I love that wood pattern and color. Too bad I am a dirt poor student for the next 6 months lol.

MY TIME WILL COME AGAIN!!!

In the meantime I have discovered ways to stretch the audio dollar until it screams.

Skylab, what do you mean by this, 4th paid of Amboyna Deep Cup or this is Larry's 4th pair of Deep Cup.

AFAIK, the ones ttol bought are the 4th pair of closed deep cup V3 Darth Beyers ever made, irrespective of wood type.
