Tom's Review

A little too expensive for my budget, none the less pretty useful and a very cool toy.

however, considering oakley's stellar reputation for high-quality audio reproduction, one could forgive their aesthetic shortcomings.

I don't think they're ugly, but some people just don't look good in that type of sunglasses -- more to do with their face.

They're useful for jogging, sitting in a patio during summer or taking a walk on the beach.

Technologically they're also promising.

Maybe not the ideal toy for a nerd, but hey not everyone is a nerd in this forum (at least i hope so).

that might almost make it worth the $395/495 pricetag.

Sort of like the sunglasses Cruise wears in the very beginning of Mission Impossible 2?

We sell them at the ski shop I work at. I tried them out...they sound nasty.

Everytime someone asks to buy one or look at it, I just want to tell them, "Don't do it! they sound like crap!" but of course I cannot.

But we have sold all but one of our stock.

I'm a sales guy too...if I feel that something is crap, I let people know. So I make a few less dollars but I can sleep soundly at night.
Maybe somebody can mod it by sticking Grado ear pieces in that thing.
