"This forum requires a password for access!"

I noticed that some pictures (the randomly shown ones) when you click on them I get greeted by, "This forum requires a password for access!"

Can pictures in Head-fi Photo albums be password locked? Or is it some glitch? Or is there a specific password locked forum in the Photo section?

I've noticed that as well. It only appears to be one users gallery, I can't figure out how to password protect my own gallery. I figure it must be an administrative thing.

It only happens with DanG's photos. I guess they are locked up in the secret moderators area.

Yeah Dan's photos are in a passworded gallery. I was surprised to see them appear at the bottom of the start page. I was under the impression that those weren't for general viewing.

They shouldn't tease us by having them show up in the random thumbnails

Actually, I really wanted to see the pictures and almost PM'd him to see if I could get a sneak peek, but decided against it since there is probably a reason he doesn't want the general public to have access.

ayt999's has a bunch of password locked pics too.

Oh, I see now.

When you are logged in, you can create a new album and make it private. But they obviously show up in the random rotating images, so they are not that private.

I just wrote to one of the PhotoPost developers about this, including screenshots, so that he could look and see the problem for himself. I'm not sure if it's a setting I'm missing (I think I checked them all), or if it's just the way the software is (which I wouldn't be thrilled about). I am hoping that it's just a setting I'm missing, or that there's some tweak I can make to make private galleries truly private.

In the meantime, you may want to rethink posting naked pics of yourself or your significant other.
