I need some wire and jack tips. I figure Skullcandy has a horrible record for cables so I'm not going to settle for RMA'ing every year I'll up the sound quality and build quality. So I'd like to start mapping out my quest possibly techniques suggested wire and jacks.

Thanks!

I used silver plated copper and a neutrik 4-pin XLR for mine. I believe as strongly in cables as I do in the tooth fairy, I just wanted to run them on a balanced amp I built.

Getting 4 strands any thicker than 24ga through the strain relief is probably impossible. I almost wanted lube for 4x24, but thank goodness Teflon is slippery.

Braiding technique for 4 strand cable:

Teflon sleeved wires are fun to work with, a bit slippery when braiding but it has a nice feel when the cable is done.
