Well i decided that i need new headphones for my mp3 player. I saw that the metro.fi's were 50 at amazon but theres not much talk about them here. The super.fi 3 was also 50 but i dont like the over the ear design much. I was also looking at the er6i's. Anyone have any thoughts about the metro.fi's?

the super fi 3 are a much better buy than the metro fi, the over ear may seem a bit of a pain but it has great points such as reduced microphonics (noise through cable) or better still hold off for the lovely looking upcoming super fi 4

If you're going to walk around with them in, then the metro.fis will be a no-go unless you loop *them* around your ears. Otherwise they aren't the worst choice, just that around $50-$70, there are much better ones (such as the mylarone x3/x3i, xb, Audio Technica CK7, etc).

I dunno, my metro.fis worn conventionally (non-looped) hold the seal more consistently for me than the super.fi 3, no problems with them falling out (both with the included small tips and the same small replacement tips are on the super.fis). Super.fi 3 has been going real cheap lately, cheaper than the metro.fis, so you (the OP) may as well get those or just wait a little to see if the super.fi 4s get discounted from the recommended retail price.
